چکیده
Path instability of a rising bubble is complex phenomenon. In many industrial applications, bubbles encounter walls, and the interactions between wall have significant impact on flow physics. A single near vertical was experimentally observed to follow bouncing trajectory. To investigate near-wall dynamics bubbles, 3D numerical simulations were performed based volume fluid (VOF) method using open source solver OpenFOAM. The effect proximity surface tension trajectory investigated. Previous studies focused for higher Eotvos numbers (Eo) varied Galilei number (Ga). physical properties chosen such that free-rising lies in rectilinear regime. Ga fixed Eo analyze its bubble’s It found presence increases drag experienced by induces an early transition from planar zigzagging We identify maximum distance critical amplitude, frequency wavelength motion are independent initial distance, but they decrease with decreasing tension.

MODELING SURFACE TENSION AND WALL ADHESION IN MOLD FILLING PROCESS
Abstract: In this study an algorithm for mold-filling simulation with consideration of surface tension has been developed based on a SOLA VOF scheme. As the governing equations, the Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible and laminar flows were used. We proposed a way of considering surface tension in mold-filling simulation. The proposed scheme for surface tension was based on the conti...

Adsorption of CO2 on the surface of Single-wall zigzag (5,0) and armchair (4,4) carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were studied through using density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Optimizations of geometric were performed at the B3PW91 level of 6-311++G** method standard basis set using GAUSSIAN 03 package of program [1]. Structural models were optimized and adsorption energies, band gap, charge...

متن کاملEffect of Hall Current and Wall Conductance on Hydromagnetic Natural Convective Flow Between Vertical Walls
This paper has examined the analytical solution of steady fully developed natural convective flow of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid between vertical channel by taking the Hall current and induced magnetic field into account. We have obtained the non-dimensional simultaneous ordinary differential equations using the suitable non-dimensional variables and parameters in...
متن کاملUnsteady Heat and Mass Transfer Near the Stagnation-point on a Vertical Permeable Surface: a Comprehensive Report of Dual Solutions
In this paper, the problem of unsteady mixed convection boundary layer flow of a viscous incompressible fluid near the stagnation-point on a vertical permeable plate with both cases of prescribed wall temperature and prescribed wall heat flux is investigated numerically. Here, both assisting and opposing buoyancy forces are considered and studied. The non-linear coupled partial differential equ...
